Do you carry dogs in the taxi?

Unfortunately we no longer carry dogs, as they inevitably end up on the seats or on the owners lap

Guide dogs for the blind and/or hard of hearing will never be refused transportation.

Can I pay the taxi fare by Card?

Bluebell Taxis accept most credit/debit cards.

Card payments are only accepted on fares of £10 and above (Roughly 3+ miles minimum)

The card reader requires internet access to work , so it is advisable to let the driver know in advance that you will be paying by card.

Payment may need to be taken in advance of reaching your final destination.

eg. Borrowdale Valley as there is no/poor  internet/phone signal.

Why can I not get a taxi?

Bluebell Taxis aims to provide  a prompt, polite, SAFE service.

There may be times when we do not have any taxis available due to driver rest times 

(We do need to eat and sleep!)

We ask customers to take this in to consideration, we will endeavour to help whenever possible.

PLEASE NOTE:-

Unfortunately we do not take advanced bookings for journeys of less than 6 miles.

Advanced bookings now require the payment of a NON REFUNDABLE deposite.

Drivers have the right to refuse passengers that are abusive, and/or heavily intoxicated with drink or drugs. 

This is for driver and passenger safety.

Cannot  thank Bluebell taxis enough after he offered to help me and two other  ladies find an alternative route home due to road closures on the A66.  What should have been a 20min trip turned into a 2hr 15min back to back  traffic jam fiasco.  Despite this he was patient, kind and determined to  get us home no matter how long it took. I've never met a driver who is  so willing to go out of their way to help. An excellent driver too.  Highly recommend this taxi service. Absolutely brilliant.

Fantastic Taxi service in the Penrith area

Wow - where do I start! Our car gave up the ghost at Penrith on our journey home to Norfolk from the North coast of Scotland. The RAC organised a breakdown truck and a taxi to bring my wife, our dog and myself home and they pick Bluebell Taxis (Penrith) to do the job - and we are so pleased they did. The taxi very clean inside and out. Mark the driver, was so helpful (we were pretty stressed out!!) and made sure that the dog crate was safely secured and we had what we needed out of our car plus, he ensured we had sufficient comfort breaks and a very comfortable journey home where he helped to unload our belongings and take them indoors. Every aspect was 5 Gold Stars - if ever you are in the Penrith area and need a taxi ring Bluebell Taxis (Penrith) 07594311421 before all else

Hi Dear Mr Mark, My name is HU YUEHAN, a academic visitor in University of Leicester. Last summer, my wife and son we three came to Penrith, but booked a country hotel which is far from Penrith city center, you helped me to carry me several days. It is a lovely memory to me and my family. I have been appreciated with you. Mark, thank you so much for bringing us back to Wolverhampton last Saturday. After an exhausting day with the trauma of our car breakdown, your calm, professional and friendly manner made it all seem bearable. The taxi ride home was flawless and we felt we were in capable hands. Thanks also for the help you gave us in loading and unloading our massive haul of luggage! Kind regards from Candy and Tony
